Ktima KEO
Ktima KEO, Olympus and Kamanterena are the largest of the island’s regional wineries. The building housing the KEO winery was erected in 1927, the year KEO was established, and it was restored in 1996 when the winery was given its present form. At the same time, an area of 50 hectares of land around the winery was planted with vines in drills.
The composition of these vineyards is particularly multifarious, for it includes both indigenous and imported varieties. As regards the indigenous varieties, it is worth noting that KEO made an effort to revive forgotten Cypriot varieties that, for one reason or another, had been marginalized. Regarding imported varieties, the company selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Lefkada, Chardonnay, Riesling and others, not all of which, I would say, have been successful. The new vineyards have produced KEO’s new labels, for example, Riesling and the red and white Ktima KEO, which indicate the winery’s effort to bring out quality wines with a modern image.

Coeur de Lion
KEO's rosé wine belongs to the category of Table Wines and therefore the label on the bottle bears no vintage year. When young, this wine reveals a most attractive rose colour. It has a rich nose of strawberry and cherry aromas, and a full mouth (considering that it is a rosé wine), medium taste balance and a tannic touch at the finish. It is fairly priced and affordable by every purse.

Heritage 2007
Made from grapes of the rare Cyprus Maratheftiko variety, this wine is particularly interesting. It features a colour of satisfactory density, a nose where oak predominates over fruit, and a full mouth with strong tannins asserting their presence, rather highlighted acidity and medium length aftertaste.

Xynisteri
Simple, light and pleasant – this would sum up KEO's Xynisteri. Light yellow transparent colour; refreshing and fruity nose dominated by citrus fruit and peach aromas; light, balanced, fruitily disposed and refreshing mouth with satisfactory aftertaste. A fairly priced wine for everyday use and for short term consumption.

Ktima KEO white
The French Chardonnay and the local Xynisteri varieties were blended to make this well-produced simple white wine. Light yellow transparent colour; medium intensity aromas mainly reminiscent of citrus fruit; medium-bodied mouth with greater intensity and fruitiness than the nose. No ageing potential.
